Rosslana Damyanova is a Bulgarian photographer whose engagement with art began early in life. While studying French Philology at Sofia University, she joined the theatre troupe “Alma Alter,” an experience that strengthened her sense of expression and narrative. In 2021, she enrolled at BECA Academy in Sofia, where her photographic interests evolved toward storytelling.
Her work has appeared in several international and local publications, including Caption Magazine, Profifoto Magazine, the 1839 Awards press release, InGlobo Magazine, Mika magazine. Her practice continues to evolve through exploration of intimate and social themes with the aim to raise awareness on overlooked issues and engage socially with local communities to tell personal stories.
Rosslana has been recognized at several international photography festivals, the OFF program of the prestigious Rencontres d'Arles photography festival in France, as part of a collective exhibition curated by Profifoto magazine.
She has been selected as a finalist at the XXIII Seminario de Fotografía y Periodismo in Spain. She was also invited for a portfolio review at Revelta't analog festival in Barcelona.
